SALES POLICY
We test our herd annually for CAE and are proud to state that we are negative. We have never had a case of CL on our farm. We will provide proof of test results upon request.
We will not sell a goat to a home where it will live alone, without other goats. No exceptions! Goats are herd animals. If you do not already own goats, I will insist that you buy at least two. Goats do not do well alone. Wethers make great companion goats for both does and bucks. They are inexpensive and fun.
We do take reservations on breedings. All animals must be paid in full before leaving the property. Unless specific arrangements have been made, all sales are expected to be complete with the goat paid for in full and picked up/shipped within 2 weeks of receiving the deposit or a $5/day boarding fee will be charged. This means that if you are purchasing a bottle kid but are unable to take them until they are weaned, it is $5/day until the kid is picked up.
Any and all costs associated with shipping or transportation, including any health certificates and related testing, are the responsibility of the buyer. I am more than happy to give you the phone number of the veterinarian that services my area. All goats are sold as healthy at the time they leave the farm and no other guarantees to the future health/quality or the animal is guaranteed. Please refer to the Recommended Trade Practices for ADGA Members. A buyer is welcome to pay for any additional testing that they wish to have completed as a condition of sale. We will not claim responsibility for illness, injury or death as a result of shipping.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RETAIN ANY KID AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON. Should we choose to retain a kid that has a deposit on it, we will refund the money or apply it to another kid purchase
We sell animals that are healthy at the time of transfer to new owner. We cannot guarantee the "development" of the purchased animal, ie, height, mature conformation, udder attachment, offspring etc. If you wish to see the animal in person before you buy it I encourage you to come to our farm and see the goats in person. I do not ship via air transport at this time.
BABY GOATS.......... Unless otherwise indicated, all doelings (and their wether companions if applicable) are ready to go to their new home, ON A BOTTLE, at 3 weeks of age. They will need to be fed 3x a day for at least a few weeks and then can be weaned to 2x a day. Girls should be bottle-fed for a minimum of 12 weeks.
All Nigerian Dwarf doe and buck kids are eligible for ADGA registration..
